Som Pradosh Vrat Katha
According to the mythological tale, once Chandradev (Moon) got tuberculosis. He had this disease due to the curse of King Daksha. Chandradev resolved to worship Lord Shiva to get rid of this problem. Chandradev duly worshipped the Shivling during Pradosh Kaal and chanted the mantra "Om Namah Shivaya". Lord Shiva was pleased with his devotion and freed him from the curse. Shiva said, "You will not get complete freedom, but your disease will reduce and your condition of being affected by tuberculosis will keep increasing and decreasing." Thus, the condition of Chandradev gradually improved. Since then, worshipping Lord Shiva during Pradosh period on Monday is considered especially effective.Som Pradosh Vrat Vidhi
