As the jagran concluded with the chanting of Maa Bhagwati, prasad was distributed to all the attendees. Rani kept her share of prasad in her bag, but the curious onlookers questioned why she was not eating it, if she did not eat her prasad then we will also not eat the prasad, to which Rani said don't misunderstand me this prasad is for the king, and she requested that they give her more prasad. She was given more prasad and Rani took it in her hand and ate it. Seeing Rani eating the prasad, all the devotees present at the jagran also ate the prasad. After this, Rani left for the palace. On her way, the king stopped her and questioned her about taking prasad from a lower caste house. She expressed her concern about him keeping prasad for her and how it could also defile her. The king declared that he cannot bring her back to the palace under these circumstances. As the king peered into the queen's bag, he was surprised to see that the bag was filled not with prasad but with flowers like rose, champa, raw rice and betel nut. This miraculous sight astonished the king. The king quietly took the queen back to the palace. Once there, Queen Taramati surprised King Harishchandra by lighting a lamp without a matchbox in front of Maa Bhagwati. The queen then said that in order to get a physical glimpse of the mother, they would have to make an important sacrifice, that is to offer their son, Rohitashva, as a sacrifice. Excited by the hope of seeing Maa Bhagwati, the king agreed to sacrifice his son. After the sacrifice of his son, Maa Bhagwati appeared herself riding a lion. Overjoyed by her presence, King Harishchandra witnessed her power as she instantly revived his son. The king was extremely pleased to see this amazing miracle. He then worshipped the mother with a full and true heart, apologizing for his past mistakes. In response, Mother Bhagawati blessed the king and later disappeared. The king then expressed his joy to Queen Tara and how fortunate he felt to have her as his wife. At that moment, King Harishchandra, Queen Tara, and Rukmani all abandoned their human form and departed to Devaloka (the realm of the gods).
