Once upon a time, there was a king. When the barber came to cut his hair, he told the king that there was a very beautiful girl. That girl was the favourite of Dashamata. She worshipped the Peepal tree daily. She listened to the stories of Dashamata. Dashamata thought that the one who follows her rules should get married in a good place.
Then the king told the barber that I should marry such a beautiful girl. The king married that girl. After the marriage, he came to the palace. The king already had a queen. That queen thought that if such a beautiful second queen comes, then my status and respect will decrease. Then when the elder queen came with black hands, she put them on the face of the new queen. When the king saw the face of the new queen, he felt very sad that the barber had cheated him.
He got me married to such a black-faced squirrel-like girl. The king kept the new queen in a separate room, did not even talk to her and did not even look at her. The younger queen became very sad due to such behavior of the king. She was not able to understand what to do, how to make the king understand. Then after some time she sent a message to her peers that send me dresses of four colors, similar chaupar and a rope for the swing. Her dresses of four colors red, green, saffron and pink, chaupar and rope for the swing arrived.
Then after that she asked the maids to find out which garden the king would go to for a walk today. She came to know that the king would go for a walk in the Rose Garden today. She wore a pink dress, did sixteen makeups and wore nice jewelry. And then she reached the Rose Garden with a pink chaupar and a pink rope before the king arrived. After reaching the garden, she laid out the pink chaupar and put up a swing nearby and started swinging.
When the king came to the garden for a walk, he saw her and started thinking how beautiful the princess was swinging. The queen asked him to play chaupar. The king agreed. Both of them played chaupar, talked and then the king left from there. While going to the palace, the king started thinking that such a beautiful girl should be in his palace. Before the king could reach the palace, the younger queen reached the palace with the help of her maids.
Now on the second day, the queen enquired about the garden the king would visit. The queen came to know that the king would visit Hariyali Bagh. That day, the queen reached the garden wearing green dress, with sixteen adornments, with green Chaupar, green rope and along with her maids. She laid the Chaupar, got the swing installed and started swinging. On the second day too, when the king arrived, she asked him to play Chaupar. The king said let's play. On the third day, she went to Lal Bagh. She wore a red dress, took a red Chaupar and a red rope. And then on the fourth day, she went to Kesariya Bagh wearing a saffron dress, taking saffron Chaupar and rope.
The king was very attracted to her. But the princess knew it, so she was not shy. The next night, the queen kept all the four dresses, the rope and the chaupar in the veranda outside the queen's room and started wailing after cutting her finger. The king was already unable to sleep and she was wailing, so he got very angry.
And he said that today I will kill this black-faced girl with a sword, I will end her story. Filled with anger, the king went towards her room. Outside her room, the king sees that the dresses of all four colors, chaupar and rope are lying there. Seeing all this there, the king started thinking that all these belong to that princess, he started thinking how all these came here. When the king reached inside the room, he was very surprised to see the queen. The king says to the queen that you are here, the queen says yes, then the king says that queen you deceived us. The queen says I did not deceive you.
You deceived me. The king says that there were black lines on your face like a squirrel. The queen says that it was your elder queen who put it on me while making love to me. She must have thought that you will make her the queen if I come. The younger queen then says that I am blessed by Dashamata who saved my honour. Otherwise I would have had to die. The king says that queen, if you had told me the whole thing earlier, then you and I would not have had to go through so much pain. After that the king made the elder queen the queen and started living happily with the younger queen.
