Kalashtami Vrat has special significance in Hinduism. This fast is dedicated to Lord Bhairav ​​and is observed on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha every month. Especially Kalashtami of Margashirsha month is also called Bhairav ​​Ashtami.   • Take a bath in the morning and wear clean clothes.
  • Install the idol or picture of Lord Bhairav.
  • Offer incense, lamp, flowers, coconut, oil lamp and liquor to Bhairav ​​ji.
  • Chant Bhairav ​​Chalisa, Bhairavashtak and "Om Kaal Bhairavay Namah" mantra.
  • Stay awake at night and do bhajan-kirtan.
  • Feast the next day and feed Brahmins and the poor.
