Rules of the fast

1. Safala Ekadashi Vrat is observed on Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Magh month.
2. The fasting person should fast throughout the day and stay awake at night.
3. On this day, one should especially worship Lord Krishna or Lord Vishnu.

Worship material

1. Idol or picture of Lord Shri Krishna or Lord Vishnu, flowers, lamp, basil leaves, milk, curd, sandalwood, Akshat.
2. Also use fruits, especially mango and coconut, turmeric and honey.

Method of worship

1. After taking bath in the morning, install the idol of Shri Krishna or Lord Vishnu.
2. Offer milk, basil leaves, sandalwood and Akshat to the Lord.
3. "Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay" or "Om Shri Chant "Krishnaya Namah".
4. Stay awake at night and sing bhajans and kirtans of God.
