Om:It is the universal sound and represents the ultimate reality or consciousness. Bhur Bhuvah Swaha:These three words collectively represent the divine existence in the worldly, material and spiritual realms. These are often understood as prayers for spiritual awakening and guidance. Tat Savitur Varenyam:This part of the mantra is an invocation to the divine light of the Sun God, Savita, asking for spiritual illumination and wisdom. Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi:Here, the practitioner meditates on the divine light and contemplates its pure and radiant nature. Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat:The mantra concludes with a prayer for the intellect to be guided and inspired by the divine light.
