The Brahmin did not even have enough food to eat, but his devotion did not decrease. One day the Brahmin decided that he would observe Guru Pradosh Vrat and try to please Lord Shiva. On the day of the fast, he worshipped Lord Shiva with full rules and devotion. He kept fast and stayed awake at night singing bhajans and kirtans of Lord Shiva. That very night, Lord Shiva appeared pleased with his devotion. The Lord said, "O Brahmin, your devotion and faith has pleased me. Tell me, what do you want?" The Brahmin humbly said, "O Bholenath, may I never be sad in my life due to lack of food and money and may I always get devotion towards your feet." Lord Shiva blessed him, "There will never be a shortage of food and money in your house. You and your family will always be happy." From that day onwards, the life of the Brahmin changed.
