The Mother who is extremely white like a garland of flowers, moon and snow, who wears white clothes,
Whose hands are adorned with veena and varada mudra (blessing gesture),
Who is seated on a white lotus, and whom even gods like Brahma, Vishnu and Mahadev always worship,
May that Goddess Saraswati, who removes all ignorance and inertia, protect us.
The one who is dressed in white, who is the essence of Brahman knowledge and who is the primal force of creation,
who is spread across the entire universe, who has a Veena and a book in his hands,
who bestows fearlessness and destroys ignorance I bow to that Goddess Sharada Devi, who dispels the darkness of the world, who has a rosary of crystals in her hand and who is seated on a lotus throne, who is the bestower of wisdom and knowledge.
